Carob Crispy Rice Treats
Making these crisp rice treats with carob is totally optional, but it has become a tradition that whenever we make Carob Syrup, we use this recipe to “clean” the pan afterwards.
Ingredients
- 10oz marshmallows
- 4 Tbs Butter
- 6 cups Crispy Rice Cereal, though you could substitute just about any cereal
- optional if making carob flavored treats a messy pan from making Carob Syrup
Method
- Melt marshmallows and butter in your carob coated pan over low heat, stirring frequently
- Once thoroughly melted add cereal to pot and stir into mixture until evenly coated, avoiding crushing the cereal
- Scrape gooey cereal mixture into a greased pan (13×9 if you want them thin, 8×8 if you want them thick) and press lightly into shape
