Making these crisp rice treats with carob is totally optional, but it has become a tradition that whenever we make Carob Syrup, we use this recipe to “clean” the pan afterwards.
Ingredients
10oz marshmallows
4 Tbs Butter
6 cups Crispy Rice Cereal, though you could substitute just about any cereal
optional if making carob flavored treats a messy pan from making Carob Syrup
Method
Melt marshmallows and butter in your carob coated pan over low heat, stirring frequently
Once thoroughly melted add cereal to pot and stir into mixture until evenly coated, avoiding crushing the cereal
Scrape gooey cereal mixture into a greased pan (13×9 if you want them thin, 8×8 if you want them thick) and press lightly into shape
