====Carob Crispy Rice Treats====

Making these crisp rice treats with carob is totally optional, but it has become a tradition that whenever we make [[carob_syrup|Carob Syrup]], we use this recipe to "clean" the pan afterwards.

===Ingredients===
  *10oz marshmallows
  *4 Tbs Butter
  *6 cups Crispy Rice Cereal, though you could substitute just about any cereal
  *//optional// if making carob flavored treats a messy pan from making [[carob_syrup|Carob Syrup]]

===Method===
  -Melt marshmallows and butter in your //carob coated// pan over low heat, stirring frequently
  -Once thoroughly melted add cereal to pot and stir into mixture until evenly coated, avoiding crushing the cereal
  -Scrape gooey cereal mixture into a greased pan (13x9 if you want them thin, 8x8 if you want them thick) and press lightly into shape
